Ron leaves behind a beautiful and loving wife Robin Helton Couch, also the class of '75.

 

COUCH, Ronald age 47 of Riverside passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 19, 2004 at his residence. Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Couch who passed away on July 13, 2002 at the age of 22. Ronald is survived by his parents B.J. and Laura Couch, his loving wife Robin and daughter Ashley Couch. Ronald leaves 3 sisters, Joni Marlow, Melissa Lohmiller and Shari Spitzer, and 2 brothers Robert and Bryan Couch. Ronald was also very close to his mated family and is survived by his father and mother in-laws Lem and Imogene Helton, sister-in-law Debra Teeter and her husband Ed, and 2 brothers-in-law Rodney and wife Denise Helton, and Tom and wife Kathy Helton. Ronald will also be remembered by many loving nieces and nephews and Kathi Bredlich who is currently the family's foreign exchange student. When he was 12, Ron became a cadet firefighter with his father and continued on to volunteer with the fire department until he was a full time firefighter for seven years with the Mad River Fire Department, then went to work for Wallace Communications where he has been for over 15 years. Ron was a 1975 graduate of Stebbins High school and became an exceptional husband and father who volunteered for the good of the community. He helped with the Stebbins Music Boosters, Stebbins Athletics, and was on the Board for Overlook Homes. He was also an active church member who served as a Deacon at the Church of Christ of East Dayton. Where ever anyone needed Ron, he would be there. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Church of Christ of East Dayton 3415 Linden Ave., Mr. Scott Van Dyke officiating. Interment at Dayton Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at the church, from 5-8 pm, then again one hour prior to Friday's funeral service. Services in care of Tobias Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Couch family would be greatly appreciated.

I miss ron and miss seeing robin too. we had lots of fun doing a few outings a year up until his passing.we'll have to ride our motorcycles together in the afterlife.God bless you Ron. love kelly

I was surprise when I clicked on Rons name and found out of his death. Robin Helton if you can remember me and would like to make contact I'd love to hear back. I have fond memories believe it or not,of cutting Ron's hair. Crazy huh? Janet Stamper Atkinson
